Overview

Welcome to Prune's API as a Service documentation! Our APIs empower you to create bank accounts for both individuals and businesses, currently supporting European Euros (EUR) and Great British Pounds (GBP), with more currencies on the way.

Beyond account creation, our services enable you to disburse funds directly to these provisioned bank accounts. We also offer a comprehensive suite of webhooks to keep you informed of various account activities, including deposits, transaction status updates, and account status changes.

To ensure a seamless development experience, we provide a robust sandbox environment. This allows you to simulate real-world scenarios, offering a safe and secure space for API testing and integration before going live.

Our API products are designed to provide a robust management lifecycle for accounts provisioned directly from banking institutions. This includes efficient banking activity management and valuable data insights accessible through our API dashboard.

Getting Started with Prune's API

Ready to integrate with Prune? Here are the simple steps to get started:

  1. Complete KYC approval and documentation.

  2. Acquire Dashboard credentials for secure access.

  3. Generate API keys directly from your dashboard and begin making requests.

  4. Go live and efficiently monitor user accounts from your dashboard.

Step 1 : Complete KYC approval and documentation.

To kickstart your verification and Know Your (KYC) documentation process, please send an email to Prune's API compliance team.

In your email, remember to include your contact email addresses to ensure our compliance team can follow up with you promptly.

Please note that KYC requirements may vary by country for businesses looking to use our API services, as we are able to onboard businesses in various locations.

Step 2: Acquire Dashboard Credentials

Once you've completed the KYC and onboarding steps, we'll provide you with login credentials for our API Management Dashboard(UI). These credentials will be assigned to the contact person you provided during the KYC approval process.

With these credentials, you'll gain access to your accounts management dashboard. As an organization, you can also add multiple team members to your account for collaborative monitoring and validation.

Step 3: Get API Keys from Dashboard and Make Requests

Upon logging into the dashboard, you can readily acquire test keys for integration testing and end-to-end validations. Our test playground provides a comprehensive set of endpoints for thoroughly testing the API suite, from account issuance to debit requests and transaction initiation.

These specific endpoints are covered in detail in later chapters of this documentation. The test environment is designed to facilitate a robust testing phase for all aspects of the API service lifecycle, and our live environment is engineered to be as close to the test environment as possible, ensuring a smooth transition to production.

Step 4 : Go live and monitor user accounts from dashboard

Once you've successfully integrated and validated your processes, moving to production is straightforward. All you need to do is fetch your production API keys from your organization's dashboard and simply switch them out for your test keys in your integration.

We also highly recommend reviewing our go-live checklist to ensure your account is properly set up before you make the switch to live keys. If you need any assistance at all, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
