Overview
Welcome to Prune's API as a service documentation. With our APIs, we provide the ability to create bank accounts for individuals and businesses in individual currencies e.g. Euro (more currencies are coming soon). Our APIs also provide the ability to disburse funds directly to bank accounts provisioned from our services, it provides a suite of webhooks to users of various accounts activities such as deposits, transaction status updates and account status updates, and a sandbox environment that simulates real-world scenarios, providing developers with a safe and secure space for API testing and integration.
Our suite of API products help to provision a robust management lifecycle for accounts provisioned directly from banking institutions with banking activity management and data insights via our API dashboard.
To get started with our API, the following steps are required :
Complete KYC approval and documentation.
Acquire Dashboard credentials for dashboard access.
Get API keys from your dashboard and make requests.
Go live and monitor user accounts from your dashboard.
Step 1 : Complete KYC approval and documentation.
Send an email to Prune's API compliance team to get started on verification and KYC documentation processes. Kindly ensure to provide contact emails on the email for prompt follow-up from our compliance team. We are able to onboard businesses in various locations thus KYC requirements might vary from country to country for businesses wishing to use our API services.
Step 2 : Acquire Dashboard credentials for dashboard access.
After completion of the KYC and onboarding steps detailed above, clients are provided log in credentials to the API Management Dashboard. These credentials are assigned to the contact person provided in the KYC approval process above. The client can gain access to the accounts management dashboard. Organisation users can add multiple users (team members) to their organisation for monitoring and validation.
Step 3 : Get API keys from dashboard and make requests
On logging into the dashboard, users can acquire test keys for integration testing and end-to-end validations. Our test playground provides a set of endpoints for testing the API suite from account issuance to debit requests and transaction initiation.
These endpoints are covered in later chapters of the documentation. The test environment allows a robust testing phase for all aspects of API service lifecycle and the live environment is as close to the test environment as possible.
Step 4 : Go live and monitor user accounts from dashboard
After integration and validation of integration processes. Moving to production is as easy as fetching production keys on the organisation's dashboard and switching out keys during integration.
We also encourage you to check our go-live checklist to make sure your account is set up properly before you switch out integration keys to live keys. Reach out to our support team if you need any assistance.
